This presentation will provide an overview of present state of the effects of information literacy and distance learning revised standards on distance learning and how TBR and formerly TBR libraries are navigating the FOCUS Act. 2016 brought about many changes for Distance Education Librarians both nationally and in the state of Tennessee. The ACRL Framework for Information Literacy for Higher Education was adopted in January followed by the withdrawal in June of the widely implemented Information Literacy Competency Standards for Higher Education. ACRL also approved in late June a revision to their Standards for Distance Learning Library Services. The FOCUS Act which took effect on July 1st separates the six public four-year universities from the Tennessee Board of Regents leaving many questions about the future of the TBR’s TN eCampus.
