Formally adopted early last year, the ACRL Framework has been met with both revelation and resistance in academic libraries. But how is it being used where it is intended to be most useful - in the library instruction classroom? Ashley Roach-Freiman from the University of Memphis, Becca Decker from Roane State Community College, and Sylvia Page from Memphis College of Art will discuss how they apply the ACRL Framework to one-shot information literacy sessions both conceptually and practically. Presenters will be invited to share planning notes, worksheets, and curriculum tips, as well as best practices learned as they’ve assimilated the framework and grown more comfortable with realizing the core ideas and learning outcomes in their lesson planning.

I'm an instruction librarian. I'm interested in student engagement and collaboration - both in the classroom and the office. Total feminist, totally a poet. Ask me about perfume.
