Tennessee’s population is growing more diverse each year. With children and families from a greater range of backgrounds becoming our neighbors, we need to make sure our library collections and programs reflect that diversity. Offering ways our patrons can learn about each other’s differences and find ways to celebrate common ground are more necessary than ever. We will look at how to select representative books for our collections, create programs that open our doors to all, and ways to express the reasons we need to mindfully celebrate our increasing diversity.
